That Tracey Ullman does a good spoof of her (and Merkel) but a tad exaggerated for comedic effect.

Wheeler Dealers series 1 is getting a re-re-re-run. Actually, I don't remember them. Edd is thin. Mike still comes over as an untrustworthy spiv.

He does.

He uses the old 2 in 1 tablet I used to have, in it. (HP TC4400)

Emissions. As we knew it's viciously harder to discover the truth than the politicians and car companies and the EU have led us to believe.

It may in fact be all loughor's fault!

Long article but informative.

Over the last year or so, manufacturers are announcing new electric cars. I see them in the car mags I look through. Why is it that cars of the future look so flipping ugly? They make the Leaf look normal and that is nasty. Not just concepts, no, these are "coming 2020" and so on. I expect the wave of Chinese cars we'll get hit with soon will look good by comparison.

I just taxed my Sportage. £240 for the year. The previous diesels I had were £0 but I deliberately got out of that fuel type last year. It isn't as if I do many miles. They might have been "officially" low on CO2 but they were bad in other respects.

I hope that there is no snow/ice and such this year, but I have 4WD on this'un so that might be a help.

When electric cars stop looking fugly, have a 350+ mile cold weather range and charge 3% to 100% in five minutes, they might be an option. The other downer for electric is no gears. Gears are for proper drivers ;) Second hand electrics will likely have buggered batteries so they won't be attractive buys.

Photographed the Blondie concert, at least it's one of my faves to see before they finally, urm, pass away

Rear brake pads are shot (got a binding caliper that needs to be replaced) and I'll have to do them myself today.
It only takes 20 minutes a side, but it's fucking freezing outside. :D

Women complain about the pain of childbirth, but it's nothing compared to a bust knuckle on frozen hands. ;)

The Government are looking into Pay Per Mile VED: http://www.carsuk.net/road-pricing-lorr ... st-follow/

It looks like a good idea on paper but I suspect I know what's going to happen, it's going to screw those living in rural areas over those who live in urban centres.
It'll bump delivery costs up, running costs for district nurses and doctors, bin collections, tourism and every other service that involves getting a vehicle to some of the more remote areas of the UK.
It's not like people living there have an alternative and we already have Pay Per Mile taxation in the form of Fuel Duty, which accounts for about 50% of the price of fuel per litre, and there's another 20% VAT added on top of that.

The current Fiat Punto was introduced in 2015. Back then it scored 0 stars in NCAP tests. It was just retested and scored another zero. People don't really check this (I don't look for it as a feature).

The two Italian lads downstairs drive one and it's had a bit of a prang on one corner on the trip from Rome.
It's crumpled like a foil tub.

I think you could probably kick one to death. :D
