How do you get Filezilla to load public_html when connecting to the host?

I have tried googling this, but to no avail :?

Have you set up the FTP connection and account details on your server?

public_html is a subfolder of the root.

Listen to Wooster, not me. I've never had a commercial host and DIY hosting uses no such directory (based on Windows Home Server and QNAP NAS).

OK, managed to create a new ftp account which starts at the public_html folder, rather than root

Quite annoying because I kept putting files at the root and wondered why things never changed

Cool.
You should be able to navigate up and down the whole directory via the right pane in FileZilla though.
It's handy to be able to start at the Root since you'll probably start using FZ to grab your backup files or drop in new resources (i.e. Pictures) after the site is finished. ;)
