I have been banging my head on the wall for the last few weeks, even tried to get help from the Synology forums, but no help whatsoever.

Basically trying to access my files on the NAS drive via the mapped drive, but keep getting the error message. So I am wondering to whether you know how to get access via windows explorer and to get rid of the error message

Bugger all to go on. Answer these:

Has it ever worked?
What have you done?
Does the NAS have a static IP within your LAN range?
Is it in your Windows workgroup?
Have you created a user account to use (not the main admin user)?
Isn't there a Synology Assistant utility to help locate it? Have you used it?

Yes, before I had to format the drive in order to install Windows Pro

You mean on Windows or the NAS?

Yes, I always use to connect to drive and open up the browser login thingy

I wish to add that I am connected directly up with my computer's lan and not a router

Would default gateway mean anything as both are blank on NAS and LAN? It's because I'm connected via Wifi

In the search bar on your windows PC type in \\192.168.137.2\ and a window (File Explorer) will pop up with all the shared folders on the NAS

If it doesn't, then it probably means that the NAS is not configured to share anything with you.
