Are looks important? We all use big boxes, with some thinking they can tart up their big boxes with xmas tree lighting. 😉

-edit- that's most of you, lets be honest. 😊

When it's sitting in your living room right underneath whats is the main focus in most people's front room's the TV, yes, yes it is.

I mean, it's not that bad, if you live in a 60's home that had a vision of the future.

I did the same for Argos and Amazon, but rather pick it up from Argos

It does, it's defo not 'over' designed. And TBH, that 'box' is designed to create as much passive airflow as is possible and I dig the functionality design over the ps5's mile out look.

Why didn't they stick with this...

   ????

Would be equally as noisy but better looking.

Anyway....

This is designed to fuck it behind the back of your telly as if it wasn't there whilst it does its job of being quiet and unobtrusive.

Those were rumoured versions of the PS5

If it were real, well, they have to make it bland enough to make people want a custom PS5. The white tops are interchangeable with other colours and designs, apparently. So not so bland after all

It still reminds me of a Virgin Homehub.

Aye, half the internet agrees.

Fugliest console I've ever seen.

A bit disappointing that the xbsx doesn't have AX wireless. PS5 does.

Not a fan of soldered on SSD. Yeah, you can still use a NVME m.2, but they could have used any NVME m.2 in place of soldered on SSD

The teardown video

I was highly impressed with the teardown.
The thermal commponent is very impressive, that fucking heatsink! And liquid metal in place of standard thermal compound.

It looks like they've designed it from a performance and maintenance level up to aesthetics being the last element of design.
Kind of looks bombproof.
But it's still fucking ugly!
