Looks like for me it's going to be memory modules again, lol

Have you checked the RAM manufacturer's guarantee?
I'm sure many have a lifetime warranty.

Corsair RM850i. I tried to get a decent modular Corsair 750W but they were out of stock

The old one is going to be used for my new build

I got rid of my old Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers a while back.
I reckon one of the capacitors has gone (there's a hum off the sub), but can't swap it (or see it) because the control board is covered in glue, so moved to headphones only (Jabra Elite 85h) for a while, but they turned out to be a bit tedious..  (sound quality is excellent, it was just taking them on and off that did my nut in)

I mentioned that I was thinking of picking up another set of desktops to Keasy, and he came up trumps again with this: https://uk.creative.com/p/speakers/creative-stage
I was thinking of dodging Creative for a bit for another short soundbar setup (I'd bought a set of their T40 II's a while back and they were shite), but this is almost as good as the old 5.1 system and the sub has a good kick (about the same size as a Lenovo desktop PC).
Apart from the fact that the wall mount setup was designed by a fucking moron (the plug for the sub sticks out further than the mounting points), the quality is damn good. 😎

I might have to go back to the headphones again if the Italians who own the flat below me get a chance to return. 😂 (I'm getting used to occupying this whole block myself)

I'm thinking of buying one for the TV in the living room.
Much better value the tin pot drivers in a bar that Curry's sell in the same price bracket.

I bet you just value those extra 1.5 seconds it affords you when booting up windows. That's almost enough time to reach towards a gravy boat when having Sunday dinner. More than the normal life quality improvement a hardware upgrade offers.
that's for sure.

Sorry man, couldn't resist.

On a spinner, pre-sata, you could take the dog for a walk and buy the week's groceries waiting for the desktop to appear. Quality time :)

When we bought our first house we both worked shifts, often different to each other. I'd come home to an empty house with that fancy new fangled internet. So I'd get home, turn the PC on and then fuck off and tidy up etc get dinner then settle down to an evening of pc fun on my nicely loaded up desktop on my huuuuuge 4GB HDD.

Basically I buggered the lead of my more expensive Lexar card reader......the problem with that, the cable can't even be found on Amazon

Anyhoo, got this cheaper but seemingly better card reader...USB 3.0.

You can argue that it was for my photography, hell, I don't care, its a computer part

It might be a cache issue.
Hey, at least it isn't Barney or a vacuum cleaner (remember that?)  :cheesy: (I think the hoover was on IceCentral)

Joysticks seem in high demand at the moment especially the more expensive ones but you can get mid range ones like these from amazon at the moment

Ordered my first ever NVMe SSD tonight.

ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB

This wee guy is getting very favourable reviews for bang to buck. Not a kick in the arse off Samsung EVO and WD Black etc for a whole lot less spend tokens.

That's not bad specs at all. 😎
I might snag one myself and dump the contents of my gaming drive onto when there's a bit more of a difference with the PCIe 4.0 units.
