Shit that nvme is fast as fuck, only now takes seconds for the windows update cycle to happen

Games are a lot faster loading, software, particularly heavy software don't take as long

But I am worried why the crucial drive states 930gb  and the Adata states 953gb. Weirdness in plenty

Rounding error, or the memory modules on it have a slightly higher capacity.

I should have gone for this one instead

A bit more pricey, but since I'm RGB-ing my pc, why not

You can buy separate RGB M.2 heatsinks.

-edit- They're a bit chunky though.

The Corsair M65 RGB Elite mouse, just because my older mouse was causing me a lot of problems

Now I guess I need a mouse mat. I know it can do without, but it feels too slippery for fine movements

I bought one of those big 1200mm x 600mm ones that cover the desk.

You can get RGB ones as well, since you're going that way: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08JM9MF8L/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_ZSV7SC2864ZCSDM5T6YW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah, I'd love a VR and HOTAS setup but it would have to be Index or Vive.

Fuck that being forced to be a FuckBook customer nonsense.

No offense Falcs.

I'm considering a Ryzen 5600X to replace my Ryzen 2600X.
Reviews are excellent with some big gaming improvements and most consider that it wouldn't be worth going to a Ryzen 5800X for the extra cores/threads - video rendering, maybe.

Well I'm still working and was supposed to be finished ages ago, sold my PSVR on ebay for good money, so I've just treated myself to a Quest 2, see how that goes.
Facebook can have a picture of my smiliing ringpiece but that's ok too. New avatar innit.

You will have to add me on the home page thingy Jez in case there's some co-op games you fancy playing
but the first game you should buy is half life Alyx you will not regret it if you loved the first two.

Ryzen 5600X fitted and running on an X470 Asus Crosshair Hero VII - BIOS update essential.

I don't think that's a big enough leap for the money mate. Unless you're sticking the current mobo. Which has limitations, remember, all the glowing reviews are done on X570 boards with addressable BAR. And if you do go the X570 road wait until the current USB disconnect issues are sorted.

Prices down here for X570 are looney tunes territory and I was able to get the CPU on 18 months interest free credit payments which, with inflation at 50% PA will be miniscule in a few months in comparison.
Living in a third world, basket case economy sometimes has advantages

I've not seen any USB disconnects, it's actually been incredibly stable, but I'm using a Ryzen 7 3700X.

It's more power draw related.

I'm now thinking about buying one and a new mobo too. I could give the current set up to my boy.
