After 3 years of having this AMD laptop, AMD in their infinite stupidity are still downloading via their control panel (not to be confused with Windows) the drivers that are not suitable for my laptop

I can't even figure why this is the case even to this day

It's a broad term, what drivers is it specifically?

Windows does that with my Lenovo, it prompts the Lenovo Vantage software to grab downloads that may not be suitable or even deprecated.

There's a number of fixes on the latest chipset driver for my X470 and I'd imagine they'd apply to various chips with a good probability of your's being included.

I manually download from the web, since the last time I installed from the AMD control panel, the installation keeps installing the wrong drivers. The one from the control panel downloaded 1.1Gb worth of drivers, while the one from the web, only 425Mb worth. You know that I'm only going to install the 425mb driver set
