Of all the things I'm addicted to now is FIFA, and it's taking a lot of my spare time that I didn't have much of already

No, they rarely do. He came, he fiddled, it worked. It'll do.

No matter what you think of Amazon itself, its app is excellent. Some thought went into it, not just the usual geek-speak silliness where the most commonly used feature is down three menus.

Three things I am wondering regarding the GDPR on websites

1/ What do they do with all the data they collect about us, if we opt in?

2/ Why the fuck so many companies want our precious data? i.e. why so many on some sites?

If we opt in, I bet they won't be asking for permission to opt out

12 (three rows of four)

If I was a hammerhead shark I'd maybe be able to see them all at the same time.

That's what I got, but on the forum I nicked it from there was a varied response. Wonder if it's an eye test or the like. I've seen it before but can't remember where.

They'll do that if they try to connect on the 2.4GHz band if it's on channel 13.
Router should be set up to broadcast different SSID's for each band, so try to force them to connect on 5GHz.

I can't make my mind up which I hate most: the blistering, unbearable heat of last summer, or this viciously dreary wet day in December. I think I get, as i've noted before, just a very few days in the year when the weather makes me happy...

It was quite sunny out at Edinburgh Airport this morning, but got bleaker as I headed west to the ferry for Dunoon.

-9 in Braemar last night (probably the Foehn Effect, it usually is).

O2/Ericsson are having a bit of a nightmare today, eh?

If I flick my preferred Sim for Data to the O2 one it's still only showing G (which probably doesn't work either).

Just tried sending a text from my O2 number to my EE number and it keeps saying 'not sent', but they are.
After a delay and multiple retries a cluster of them come through, despite the O2 network still saying that they've not been sent.

When they eventually fix it people are going to be royally pissed off as all those limbo texts start to flood in at 5am tomorrow morning.  :cheesy:

oops, one of my laptops is looking like its suffering from the DOA symptoms this morning

It was fully charged up when I switched it off last night

Taken out the memory, hard drive and even wifi card. Still dead

Tried it with the power cable connected as well? (on the off chance the battery has gone it might be worth removing it if you can and see if it fires up from the mains)
