There wasn't a lick of snow on the Cairngorms, that I could see.
That's unusual for this time of year.

I heard it will arrive on Monday

I don't see any forecasts for here showing minus temps here in the next few weeks.
It's unseasonably warm if anything.

The TV Beeb had icy weather coming in from the south east next week on the forecast this morning. The Netherlands and Northern Germany was blue on the map. Not another Beast but a lot colder than this week.

they also did a long range forecast back in September apparently we should be knee deep in snow by now (although when i commented on there page they denied saying it lol

I think three or four days in advance is about the limit.  :azn:

But it is a lot colderthan of recent weeks, just not extremely cold

The Express have vested (and other types of thermal underwear) interests in winter scare stories , given most of their readers are pensioners.

Like the old joke

https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/news/2018/11/new_caps_to_be_imposed_on_118_charges_ofcom_announces/

"The UK's most popular directory enquiry service is 118 118, which charges users £11.23 for a 90-second call."

Robbing bastards.
That's why they've been doing loans for years. They're rolling in dirty cash.
(apparently there's one that charges £18.50 for a 90 second call as well)

Who's idea was that anyway?

p.s. I'm sure Falcs mentioned their charges a while back, but it's gone up a good bit since then.

Utter cynicism on their part.
I note too that the UK's highest paid woman is the head of Betfair or whatever. £45m a year at least.

What was her Tweet?

...I'm not defending her but I'd like to know what she said.

“Police are not above the law”.
Whereas in this case, with highly trained traffic officers, it's entirely within their legal  remit.

Bit of a cheap shot, but I can't get it out of my head that David Lidington's head looks a bit like a bollock.

I can't figure the map out. There don't seem to be any commonalities amongst the dark red areas, other than in the dark dreich days of winter the Scots are against everything!

It'll be mostly sectarianism in Scotland and mostly in west central Scotland but all lumped together into one region (as per usual for the BBC).
NI isn't shown because they don't do a red dark enough to reflect the sectarianism there.

The sudden increase in refugees trying to make the channel crossing is probably seasonal (better chance of getting through when more guards are on holiday, on both sides of the channel), but I'm wondering if/when European guards will start to turn a blind eye to future attempts with a muttered bon voyage, regarding them as something the UK can deal with itself, and as a wish granted.

The oft cited belief, by some, that the channel can save Britain from European and World problems just shows the levels of home grown dimwittery we're dealing with.

If you think I'm being overdramatic, just wait.
The Daily Mail are probably already looking into the feasibility of 'crop dusting' the channel with pork rinds to thwart the Muslim hordes massing in Europe.  :cheesy:

Sounds about right...and good on them, it's a hard job but, by Jove they're the right sorts to do it and keep us all safe.

That is a concern.
It's political assimilation of one country by another. It is in effect invasive political indoctrination of a people.

Sleekit.

Aye...it's not trivial.
Scots Law isn't perfect, but it's the backbone of the deal and for the Scots to judge on its application and amendments.

The fucking Brexiteers keep bleating about the ECJ and undermining our laws at the same time.

Pisses me right off.

So, Fat Eck is innocent. Well, if he is he is. I'd love to see him done for something else.

Not yet.
What happened today was the court found that the civil servant in charge of the Scottish Governments investigation made an arse of the process (she's under Mundell's remit as Scottish Secretary).

The police investigation is still pending.
