Too Late the Hero, must say that was a good movie. Starring Michael Caine, Cliff Robertson and a few others

Buried in Amazon Prime movies I noticed Oats Studios: Volume 1
A collection of stuff by Neill Blomkamp.

It seems to be pitches for movies and some other stuff, but it's pretty good.

i.e. GOD: Serengeti  :azn:

(some of the hardcore sci-fi stuff is pretty gruesome)

Black Panther. Supposedly part of the Captain America story, a side plot if you like. I found out well-made but a bit confusing at times. It tried so hard not to have an anti racist agenda, and largely managed it.  I might have to watch it again to get more from it.

I watched that...mostly (SKY's 1st attempt at an original movie?)
It was quite predictable.

Outlaw King, the Netflix film about Robert the Bruce and the build up to the battle at Loudon Hill.
For fffs sake, why couldn't they find a real Scot to play the lead? Chris Pine had zero trace of a Scottish accent, no screen presence and it ruined the film for me.
he's a fecking yank ffs!

Letters from Iwo Jima, been meaning to watch it for a long time now and only just got round to it, I thought it was very good at showing a different perspective of that battle to the normal gung ho yanks versions, quite liked how it wasnt true colour either.

His accent was pretty good actually.
I don't mind foreign actors playing Scots....enough Scots actors are knocking around playing other nationalities, some more credibly than others (i.e. Sean Connery  :cheesy:)

Letter for Iwo Jima is a good movie.

I watched Rim of the World last night its a netflix movie and supposed to be for kids but there's quite a bit of violence in it!
I enjoyed it simple storyline lots of bits taken from other films but enjoyable and easy on the brain to finish off the bank holiday

In the opening scene, as he's putting his makeup on with his sad face he runs the red grease stick down the right side of his mouth toward his chin.
On the cut to him face on, a few seconds later, there's no trace of it.

I'd have to watch it again to see if it was one of his delusions (when he's flipping the sign), to see if it was deliberate and not a mistake.

Off to see 1917 tomorrow with Keasy.
Hoping it's better than Dunkirk.

It certainly held the attention and the sound was amazing.
Is it the best WW1 movies I've seen? I'd say no, but it's up there.

I really enjoyed the new Terminator movie (Dark Fate)...so much so that I'd say I enjoyed it more than 1917.

Arnies in it, so there's some wee cheesy bits and tipping of hats to the old movies, but the return of Sarah Connor (sarcastic no nonsense hard ass) was excellent.
Tim Miller directed (same guy who did the first Deadpool movie).

Best no-brainer action film I've seen in a while. ...an honest 8/10 from me.

The new Jumanji sequel is everything you'd expect from a sequel, poorly written and actors going through the motions in order to put it behind them as quickly as possible.
