Thankfully it's not allowed here: the staff get minimum or maybe even the living wage as such. The US is entirely different. They get only a few dollars an hour.

Is Brexit still happening?

Haven't heard anything about it for two days.
Still....I think it's probably something that's now happening to us and not really by us.

I was genuinely surprised at something the other day.
I recall Richie's housing problem and the rent levels he has to pay .

Scotland have built more council houses since 2013 than England has, despite being 1/10th of the population.
It's so surprising that even The Sun felt fit to report it (very briefly): https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/7457338/snp-nicola-sturgeon-council-houses/

This is not a political dig, but the mismatch is dramatic.
Why can we finance a tenfold council house build than England can manage?
Something isn't right.

These aren't Tory 'affordable housing' that you need to get a (£100k+) mortgage for I think, they seem to be  genuine council houses.

I've never been out of action for more than 12 hours with flu, on the few times I've had it.
A cold is fuck all, bit of a headache with snotters and general fatigue.

I generally tip on a keep the change basis (rounding up).
If it's a big meal (friends/family) we'll chuck in an extra 15-20%.

I don't agree at all with the practice of staff having to rely on tips to make a wage.

I was wondering when you guys tip for services rendered. The pizza delivery guy, restaurants, haircuts etc. Or never. In the US it's more or less compulsory in bars and diners because their staff are hardly paid so have to live on the tips they get. Literally.

If it's any consolation they've discovered Man Flu is a real thing. Men and women react differently to this sort of thing on a physiological level. Way to go, men!
