Kindig Customs, on Discovery, featured 1967 Chevvy Nova 2. Well, at least its body. Everything else was changed.
You couldn't tell from the outside with its superb paint job, that under the bonnet was a custom 468ci (10+ litres) big block V8 that dynoed at 2200bhp, and with nitro and specified tuning would produce 4000+bhp. Undriveable, they acknowledged. Noisy bugger. The rear wheels were a good foot wide. Must have cost $100k. Took 7 years to finalise and finish.
Those guys produce some first rate custom work. Even the exhaust was a work of art.

More from Kindig Customs: a 1958 Lincoln Continental. 23 feet long and weighing 2.5 tons. They rebuilt it from the ground up, added air ride, huge brakes to match the custom-built V12 10 litre block producing 1000bhp. Two superchargers. It sounded sweet. The paint job, mid metallic blue, was brilliant. Took over two years to complete and must have cost well over $100k. It would not get round our tiny housing estates. One thing the Americans did really well back in the day.

Last week's Speed is the New Black was good. Based in St Louis, a client brought in a later model right hand drive Mini 850, late '70s. Almost rust free.
They removed the old Leyland engine (with compulsory lawnmower jokes) and replaced it with a VTEC Honda 2 litre, 13" wheels and sticky tyres. It looked and sounded brilliant. I've no idea what it cost but it must have been around the £30k mark. The paint job was faultless.
Complete custom subframe for the engine, coil-overs for the rear instead of those silly rubber cones that gave a spine shattering ride and really good brakes. Lovely.

The sports Jag on TGT was brilliant. They can do it when they want to.

Seen that Seat advert, with the (I assume, because that's who they're selling to) lass diving into the ice?

Why?
I've seen the bottom of those lakes and it's just mud and sticks...probably the most boring thing you've ever seen.


(They don't show that though, but trust me it's as far off The Great Barrier Reef as it's possible to be and you'd be lucky to see a Trout swimming by if you were down there for ten hours..... probably the most boring fish on the planet, swimming in the most boring ecosystem on the planet)


Maybe it's a boring car...it looks it.
Probably got a 1.6l engine.

The Tarraco SUV? It's huge. With a 1.5 engine, 150bhp.

My mate has a 1litre three cylinder C-Max. Years old. His kids live in London and Cheshire so he does a lot of running and it seems fine. But you're right, there is doubt. On the other hand, with pressure on mpg this is the way it's going. Normal cars with 2 litre engines are almost a thing of the past already. My last Grand C-Max (2012) had a 2 litre diesel which I loved. Lots of torque.
