Well, I'm in A&E. This afternoon I went for a lie down on my bed. Had half an hour, and then for the life of me I could not stand. Couldn't breathe.
I phoned the GP, who asked questions and told me to phone for an ambulance.
I did. They came presently but they were unable to get me out of bed. They sent for another ambulance. In a little while I had five guys and a couple of cute ladies, and together they
hauled me out , and with sirens, taken to hospital.
Not sure what's wrong. Not cystitis which would be a prime suspect.
Just about to start my second course of antibiotics.

Hospital sounds like the right place to be man, don't take any chances.

You can tell 'em Falcs. It not a secret.

It is the only place. They're thinking tentatively chest sepsis.
Three lots of different antibodies so far. One lot was two syringes each with a different antibiotic that act in unison.

I do feel a touch better.

Yeah can be very dangerous, normally obtained from a cut into your blood system

Any update Glam?

While recovering it might be worth considering moving your bed to somewhere a bit more accessible.
The lass downstairs didnt have many options and moved her bed into the living room so the stretcher gets a clear route to the front door.

It didn't last. They haven't ruled out pneumonia.
Lots of antibiotics and coughing fits.

Still alive but far from welll.

Edit

Feel like shite. Fed up. The things that go on in a big hospital at night you would not believe. It cost me his and hours of sleep. Oil tell you about that if I ever get better. It's a long story.

I've read recently that there's a growing body of evidence that inflammation is linked to depression, so you'll be going through the trifecta of shit at the moment.
You're not well.
You're stuck in hospital.
And the cause might be an inflammatory infection.

Kinda hard to be on the chipper side with that going on.

If you wake up early in the mornings, tune into Steve Allen on LBC at 5am...the bloke could prattle for Britain, but it's harmless prattle. (just mind to tune out before they start doing the phone in's again at 7am)

The consultant confirmed I do have pneumonia.
Joy.
Marginally better today but some way to go.
This is the longest I've spend on bed since 1968.

No doubt that I'm feeling a touch better but it now seems as if I'm going to need a fair bit of remedial help before I get my strength back.
