I might see Horrible History: The Movie,  I remember it being on TV in the 90s and had a laugh or two, the trailer looks good as well. A kind of Monty Python's The Life of Brian kind of movie

My sister took her seven and ten-year-old grandkids to see it last week. The kids enjoyed it but my sister found it boring. She found all the funny bits just missed the mark.

One movie I'm not going to watch this autumn, is Terminator: Dark Fate.

Seen the trailer, its just like the Ghostbusters reboot

Same mate... Sword of Trust is an interesting one with Marc Maron (moustache guy, and actual comedian, from GLOW) but there's fuck all on the blockbuster list while they rewrite and apply new scripts for whatever gender is flavour of the day.

Ep2 of Project Blue Book was quite good. Strong elements of The X-Files there.

Just watched Aquaman. It was all right I suppose. I couldn't make out the dialogue at times but that didn't matter because there wasn't much plot.

I didn't get beyond the fish in the tank looking at him.

Alita Battle Angel is good for about 80% of it's duration, worth a watch.

Watched Venom again. Quite good fun even if the start is a bit slow.

We went with our kids. It was an okay film, enjoyably funny in places, but not being in the sketch format of the series didn't work as well and the songs were a bit dull - but I think the series is excellent, especially the song parodies.

With the Amazon logo at the start, I guess it will be available on Prime before the end of the year, or if not the BBC will screen it quite early.

I had four weeks of peace without my recurrent infections. Back again today and I feel like shite. I do have some antibiotics for it though so we'll see.

The Predator. Almost zero plot, no charterers you could latch on to in the way you could Arnie, but was still watchable, I suppose

Keep an eye out for Vice when it appears, it's about John McCain's rise to prominence and quite witty (in a taking the pish kind of way) at times.

Sam Rockwell does an uncannily accurate G. W. Bush.  :cheesy:

I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past. Slow.
I was almost finished when I realised I had in fact already watched it ages ago.

Just finished Mortal Engines. It followed book one of the four fairly well. I enjoyed the book which I read over ten years ago. The film whizzed through the story quite quickly. Maybe a little too quickly.

It was a big meh! from me (managed about half an hour).
Right off the bat I was thinking the premise was shit. There was lots of solid ground, so why drive a city around on tracks and wheels?
(If there wasn't solid ground on which to build cities, cities on wheels would be less than useless)

You need to ignore that and allow the story to evolve. I thought what you said when I read the book, but the characters were well written.

I tried for the second time to watch Doom, but gave up again. It was filmed in total darkness, just like the computer game, at least version 3, anyway, and for me it was unwatchable.
